Leno bombs with Casey Anthony jokes
(EW.com) — If we wanted moral fun about a dismaying Anthony verdict, we were out of luck, with Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert on vacation.
In fact, many of late-night was on vacation, solely for Jay Leno, who bypassed fun of a media and stranded with what he knows best: “It was so prohibited today, people were as confused and disjointed as a Florida jury… This [verdict] means President Obama’s mercantile organisation is usually a second many clueless organisation of people in America.”
This groaner was met with practical overpower from a “Tonight Show” audience. Leno paused and incited to his band. “Is a mike off? we don’t consider they listened a joke,” he said.
Then he steady a joke, and, so prompted, a throng clapped.Watch a video and tell me either we consider it was a technical glitch or not.
“I don’t get it,” Leno went on — a uncover contingency go on! “Apparently, a OJ jury was sleepy and they changed to Florida. When they review a verdict, even Casey Anthony went [does spit-take], ‘What? What?’”
What, indeed. Any approach we hear ‘em, these yuks were reduction a matter of “too soon” than only “not funny.”
